[[Staiger Ren]], [[Wixton Quillbit]], [[Faolin]], [[Hoodwink]] and [[Mimmin Flickerboot]] arrive at [[The Floating Island]]. There they discover that the island was a research centre designed to harness a celestial event in which a number of planets aligned and produced a magical energy at that particular point of the world. The harnessing of the energies went wrong and the island was taken over by a malevolent creature known as [[Beholders]]. The party tricked the beholder and escaped the island with some treasure and [[Weather Stone|a magical stone that can control the weather]].
