Gorrathul is a black [[Dragons|dragon]] who hatches in [[The South Range]] (known to the people of [[The Western Realm]] as [[The Nordwall Mountains]]) on [[631-12-17]]. His mate is killed at a [[Machine Forge|machine forge]] in the range on [[824-03-03]]. On [[824-03-10]], he destroys the forge and makes his home among its ruins. For more than five hundred years he terrorises [[The South Range]], and the [[Gnoll]] packs of its northern slopes, who gave him his name, suffer most.
